Barcolana
The world's largest sailing regatta - and the pride and joy of the Triestini! The Barcolana with its extensive supporting programme takes place every year on the second Sunday in October in the Barcola district. A true festival!

Trieste Estate
A unique summer festival with a wide variety of events - from music and dance, film and sport to literature and circus. The only thing they have in common is that all events take place outdoors.

Trieste Film Festival
The renowned festival of Central and Eastern European cinema has been held annually in Trieste since 1989. 

Antiques market
Every third Sunday of the month there is a large antiques market in the Jewish Quarter. 

Christmas markets
In the run-up to Christmas, there are several traditional and very atmospheric Christmas markets in Trieste.
